Linear Programming - modeling and IT implementation
Eurodecision, in collaboration with ORDECSYS, offers advanced training in operational research methods and techniques.
Sessions are available in both Paris and Geneva. Participants interested in robust optimisation are invited to attend the course entitled "Robust Solutions for Linear Programming: a simple and effective way to address uncertainty".
Course objectives
- discover the benefits of linear programming for solving business problems
- understand the principle of resolution methods (Simplex, Branch and Bound)
- become more familiar with modelling
- implement these methods and interpret the results
- learn about the latest technologies available

Building a flight schedule for an airline, developing an assembly plan for an automobile manufacturer, planning timetables for bus drivers, scheduling the purchase of raw materials for food production: these are but a few significant examples of linear programming applications.
Eurodecision offers a course enabling attendees to discover the benefits of this type of modelling in order to resolve various business problems.
This course is intended for practitioners and consultants responsible for designing and implementing decision support systems, and/or for carrying out studies based on optimisation models.
In this course, we emphasise the modeling of concrete problems and the implementation of those models using current IT tools.
At the end of the course, participants will have an overview of linear programming approaches and the methods for implementing such approaches.
Eurodecision is a French state-approved occupational training organisation (accreditation no. 11780765678).
